Multi-vehicle collision on Southern Expressway triggers severe traffic congestion

Kalutara, June 26 (Daily Mirror) - A multi-vehicle collision involving five vehicles occurred on the Southern Expressway today near the 31st kilometer post between the Galanigama and Dodangoda interchanges, causing significant traffic congestion.

According to the Southern Expressway Traffic Police, several individuals sustained injuries in the accident and were provided with medical assistance.

Investigations revealed that the collision involved two buses and three cars, all traveling towards Matara, which crashed into one another under circumstances yet to be determined.

The accident has led to severe traffic congestion along the affected stretch of the expressway, with traffic moving at a slow pace as authorities work to clear the scene.
