Scotland set Sri Lanka 152 to keep semi-final hopes alive

June.27 (Mirror Sports) - Sri Lanka will need 152 runs to keep their ICC Women's T20 World Cup semi-final hopes alive after Scotland posted a competitive 151/6 in their final Group B match in Manchester on Friday.

Scotland finished strongly, accelerating in the closing overs, with Sarah Bryce leading the charge with an unbeaten 47 off 33 balls. Her boundary off the final delivery capped a valuable late surge and lifted Scotland to a challenging total.

Sri Lanka had kept the scoring in check through the middle overs, with Sugandika Kumari removing Darcey Carter before Kavisha Dilhari dismissed Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce with a sharp caught-and-bowled effort.

With a place in the semi-finals still mathematically within reach, Sri Lanka now face a must-win chase of 152 to keep their campaign alive.
