Vehicle seized at K’gollewa doesn’t belong to Army

The vehicle, with an army number plate, seized today at Kebithigollewa does not belong to the army and the number plate was a fake, the Army said.   

The vehicle which was taken into custody by the Kebithigollewa Police had a number plate with the letters ‘යුහ’ and was found with a bundle of election propaganda posters of a former deputy minister who is a UPFA candidate of the area.

Army Headquarters confirmed that the vehicle did not belong to the Army and those in the vehicle were in no way attached to the Army. (Lahiru Pothmulla)
