Vaas and Ravindu to be produced in HC

Colombo Additional Magistrate A.M. Shahabdeen directed the Prison Superintendent to produce former DIG Vaas Gunawardena, his son Ravindu Vaas Gunawardena and several other police officers before the Colombo High Court on March 31 to face the charges against the accused for killing Bambalapitiya businessman Mohamed Shiyam.

The Magistrate made this direction on the Prison Superintendent on considering the submissions made by the CID who asserted that the Attorney General had indicted the accused before the Colombo High Court over the killing of the businessman and the court had issued summons on the Prison Superintendent ordering him to produce the accused in the High Court on March 31.
