UNP approves party polls

The UNP Working Committee today approved the reforms committee report which includes recommendations that all the top positions except the posts of Treasurer and General Secretary should be appointed by election among the party members, UNP Chief Organiser Joseph Michael Perera said. 

Accordingly, the appointment of the party leader is also required to be put to a vote at the Working Committee.  (KB)
