Tissa Attanayake’s resignation accepted

UNP media spokesman Gayantha Karunathilaka said today that UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake’s resignation as the Kunadasale organiser has been accepted by party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe today.

He said Mr. Attanayake who was appointed through the National List would act in the same capacity in the future.

“Mr. Attanayake had tendered his resignation as the Kunadasale organiser yesterday. He has recommended several names to be appointed as the new organiser. But the party will take a decision regarding the appointment in a few days”, he said.
