Three TN fishermen arrested by SL police

Three Tamil Nadu fishermen were arrested in Sri Lankan waters on charges of smuggling narcotics, official said today.

The fishermen Manoharan, Senthil Kumar and Saravanan, hailing from Arkattuturai in Nagapattinam district were arrested yesterday by a patrolling Sri Lakan police team for allegedly straying into Sri Lankan waters.

Some packets of ganja were also seized from them, the officials said, adding that the fishermen were lodged in a prison in Jaffna. (Source: PTI)
