Sudharma surrenders to Court: Warrant recalled

Colombo Magistrate Thilina Gamage today recalled the warrant issued against Sudharma Nettikumara over a breach of trust amounting to Rs.5 million after she surrendered to Court.

Attorney-at-Law Rienzie Arsecularatne appearing for Ms. Nettikumara told court a warrant could not be issued against a person who had not been named a suspect in a case.

He said an extract of the investigation had been forwarded to the Attorney General for his advice.

The Magistrate released the businesswoman without a bail.(Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
