Six drown in Giriulla

Six persons including four females drowned while bathing in the Avarathota Tank in Giriulla a short while ago, police media spokesman Ajith Rohana said.

He said the victims are residents of Slave Island. They had gone to meet relatives in the area with a group consisting of 17 persons. (Supun Dias)
