Protesting politicos want Baduraliya hospital reopened

UNP Parliamentarian Palitha Thewarapperuma and several local politicians together with more than 500 people are now staging a protest demanding that the Baduraliya district hospital that had been closed due to a strike be reopened immediately.

The nurses and minor employees reported for duty this morning but the doctors continued their strike bringing work at the hospital to a standstill.

The protestors demanded the authorities to resolve the doctors’ strike and resume work at the hospital back to normal. (S.Madawala and Kusal Chamath)
