Posh ‘choc’ shop in Col-7 sealed

The store of a prominent upmarket chocolate shop situated in Colombo 7 was raided and sealed today by the Public Health Inspectors for storing and selling expired products.

Public Health Inspectors of the Colombo Municipal Council raided the shop this afternoon following a tip off. The products imported from India are said to have been expired ten months ago.

However, a Health Inspector told the Daily Mirror that the shop was launched four to five months ago. (Lahiru Pothmulla)
