In the first case of election reported deaths for the upcoming Provincial Council elections, a supporter of UNP WPC candidate Harshana Rajakaruna had died allegedly due to an assault by UPFA supporters in Kimbulvilawattha, Dompe a short while ago, Police said.

They said the victim was a 50-year-old resident of Dompe and died upon admission to hospital.
