German national drowns in Dikwella

A 34-year-old German national drowned in Dikwella while he was taking a sea bath in the Dikwella beach area, police said.

The victim identified as Stephen Hilsky, who was holidaying in Sri Lanka with his mother and two friends, had been staying at a hotel in Dikwella.

The body is lying at the Matara Hospital mortuary and the post mortem is to be conducted today.
