Four killed, two injured in three-wheeler accident

Four passengers had been killed when the three-wheeler taxi they were travelling in collided with a motorcycle and a bus travelling from the opposite direction in Eheliyagoda on the Colombo-Ratnapura Main Road this morning, the Police said.

The taxi was plying from Ratnapura to Avissawella and collided with the two vehicles travelling on the opposite direction near the 71/3 culvert in Eheliyagoda.

The Police said two injured motorcyclists had been admitted to the Eheliyagoda Hospital. There had been three on the motorcycle, according to the Police.

The bus driver and the motorcyclist had been arrested by the Eheliyagoda Police.
