Four arrested with 15 kg of cannabis

Naval troops attached to SLN Thambapanni of the North Western Naval Command arrested four men with 15 kilogrammes of cannabis and a shot gun at the Nugawala Junction in Puttalam yesterday.

Navy Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasooriya said the suspects and the stock of cannabis were handed over to Kobeigane Police for legal action.

Meanwhile, the Kobeigane Police said that suspects were residents of Kuliyapitiya and they would be produced before the Hettipola Magistrate.(DS)
