Fisherman missing after falling overboard

A fisherman is reported to have gone missing after he fell overboard while out shipping in a multi-day fishing trawler, which left the Galle harbour last night, police said.

They said the victim was identified as Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Dinesh Priyantha (30) from Bataduwa in Galle.
The Galle Harbour Police said the fisherman had fallen into the sea about six kilometers from the harbour.
Divers from the police and the navy are on a search for the missing fisherman. (Nimal Alagewatta)
