EC response positive: SF

Former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka said today that the Commissioner of Elections had assured a decision on the registration of a new political party on April 5.

Fonseka today met the Commissioner and handed over documents pertaining to the registration of the party.

The new political party is to be named the Democratic Party with its symbol to be the torch.(LSP)
