Video: Counsel says Ven.Gnanasara Thera insulted him

Counsel Maithri Gunaratne in a complaint to the police said Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Ven. Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera who passed by had made some insulting comments against the Counsel while he was speaking to the media near the Fort Magistrate’s Court this morning.

The Thera appeared in the Court to answer charges of having obstructed a media conference held by the Jathika Bala Sena headed by the Ven. Watareka Vijitha Thera.

Mr. Gunaratne appeared for Ven. Watareka Vijitha Thera and was addressing the media after the hearing when Ven. Gnanasara Thera had insulted him while passing by. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
