British tourist caught in trap gun

A 19-year-old British woman was injured when caught in a trap gun at Wilgamuwa yesterday, police said.

She suffered several injuries on her leg and was admitted to the Mahiyanganaya Hospital.

Police said the victim had been touring the area with a group of tourists when the gun went off as she was stepping into a lake. (DS)
