Body of Uni. student found

The body of a 22-year-old female university student was found in a building near the Elpitiya bus stand this morning, police said.

They said the victim, a resident of Niyagama, Thalgasvila, was a second year student of the University of the Visual & Performing Arts in Colombo.

Police suspect that a sharp object had been used in the killing.

An army soldier believed to be the fiancé of the girl has been arrested by the police in connection with the incident.(Janak De Silva)
