Man tries to enter President’s official residence in Kandy

A person was arrested by the guards at the President’s official residence in Kandy, for trying to enter it by force this evening, police said.

The police said the suspect from the Katugastota area was trying to enter the President’s house to meet the President to make an inquiry about his child not being admitted to a school.

The suspect was admitted to the mental patients’ ward at the Kandy Hospital and would be produced before the Kandy magistrate after obtaining the medical report. (J.A.L. Jayasinghe)
