Another bank robbed of Rs.1.4 Mn

In another high noon robbery four armed men wearing face-covered helmets are reported to have robbed the Seeduwa Branch of the Commercial Bank of Rs.1.4 million after stabbing the bank manager today.

Police said the robbers had arrived on motorcycles and stormed the bank and accosted the manager who was the only employee present at the time.
The injured bank manager was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The Seeduwa police are investigating. CCTV footage is also being examined in the search for clues that would lead to the arrest of the robbers. (Supun Dias)
