A cache of buried weapons discovered

Five T-56 weapons and several other weapons were recovered by the army at the third mile post in Murugapuri in Trincomalee this evening, Media Spokesman Ruwan Wanigasuriya said.

“One light machine gun, one 7.62mm self-loading rifle, one 303 rifle, sixteen T-56 magazines, seven 303 magazines and several sub-machine gun magazines were discovered. The items found were unserviceable, he said. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
