Wind turbine blade destroys storeroom in Kalpitiya

Colombo, Feb 03 (Daily Mirror) - A storeroom in the Kurinjipitiya area of Kalpitiya was demolished after a blade from a wind turbine belonging to a leading renewable energy company's wind farm, fell on it yesterday.  

The owner of the house stated that he did not report the incident to the police, as the company had agreed to pay compensation.  

No injuries were reported in the incident.
