Wimal to make submission in court over his security

MP Wimal Weerawansa today sought permission from the Colombo Fort Magistrate to deliver a statement from the dock over his security level at the Colombo Remand Prison and the injustice caused to him by FCID's inquiry over the misuse of state property.

No counsel appeared on his behalf today.

Subsequently, the Fort Magistrate permitted him to deliver his statement as a submission to the inquiry concisely. (Shehan Chamika Silva)
