Visa-free travel to Thailand, decision effective once Thai Embassy informs authorities

Colombo, July 15 (Daily Mirror) -Thailand has announced the inclusion of Sri Lankans among nationals of 93 countries eligible for visa-free entry into that country but the decision will be effective only after the Thai Embassy formally informs the Sri Lankan authorities in this regard, a source said.

The source said the embassy had not yet received any confirmation from Bangkok yesterday.

“Once received, it will be communicated to Sri Lanka immigration and aviation authorities. Then, the decision will be effective,” the source said.
