Victoria Reservoir drowning: three youths dead

Colombo, May 17 (Daily Mirror) - Three youths have drowned after an incident at the Victoria Reservoir in the Bambaragala Temple area in Teldeniya, police said.

According to police, four youths had entered the reservoir to bathe when two of them initially drowned. Their bodies were later recovered by rescue teams.

Following the incident, another youth went missing, while one member of the group was rescued unharmed.

Police later recovered the body of the missing youth, bringing the total death toll to three.

The victims, all aged between 18 and 21, were residents of Werallagama in Kandy.
