Vehicle number plates printing to commence by June: Prasanna Gunasena

Colombo, May 7 (Daily Mirror) - Deputy Minister of Transport Prasanna Gunasena said today the printing of vehicle number plates will commence by June 10, 2026.

He told Parliament that a new tender was offered to a new company and that the agreement has been signed with the company to resume the printing of number plates.

The Deputy Minister said the agreement was signed on March 10, 2026 and that as per the agreement, printing of number plates can start within three months.

He said according to the agreement, the company can resume printing number plates by June 10, 2026.
