Vaccination doesn’t cause complication to pregnancy: Dr. Pradeep de Silva

There is no issue with the ability to conceive a child after receiving the COVID vaccine, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr. Pradeep de Silva said.

While addressing the media at the Health Promotions Bureau he said that the vaccination does not cause any complications in young women either.

The doctor said there is no issue in getting the tetanus toxoid vaccine and the COVID vaccine simultaneously. Also said the pregnant women can take the both vaccines.

No complications have been reported so far in children born to mothers who have received the COVID vaccine, Dr. Silva said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
