VIP threatening case: Podi Lassie granted bail

Underworld figure Arumahandi Janith Madushanka Silva alias Podi Lassie was granted bail by the Galle Magistrate in connection with the case of threatening several VIPs including the President.

However, he would continue to be under the detention of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

He was produced in the court over the case of making death threats, while at Boosa Prison, to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the Defence Secretary and several higher officials at the Prison Department.
