Udaya, Wimal removed

Informed sources told Daily Mirror that Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila and Industries Minister Wimal Weerawansa have been removed from their ministerial portfolios during a cabinet reshuffle a short while ago. 

Dinesh Gunawardena is tipped to be sworn in as the new Minister of Industries, S.B. Dissanayake as the Minister of Education. Pavithra Wanniarachchi as the Minister of Power, Gamini Lokuge as Minister of Energy and Dilum Amunugama as the Minister of Transport. 

Meanwhile, the President's Media Division issuing an official statement said Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila and Industries Minister Wimal Weerawansa have been removed from their ministerial portfolios. (JAMILA HUSAIN)
