Two suspects arrested over Panadura shooting

Two more suspects have been arrested over the shooting incident opposite the Kethumathi Hospital in Panadura, in which an ambulance driver came under gunshot attack.

Police said four men who arrived on two motorcycles fired gunshots at the ambulance and fled the scene on January 27.

The Kalutara Crimes Division officers arrested the 28 and 30 year old suspects yesterday who are from Panadura area.

Police also recovered a motorcycle, three wheeler which were used for the crime along with a hand grenade and fake number plates from the suspects possession.

They would be produced before the Panadura Magistrate today.

Earlier, the Police had announced a reward of Rs. One million for  successful information on the suspects wanted over the shooting.
