Two boys killed due to electrocution in Samanthurai

Two children have died after being caught in an unauthorized power line at Naikadu in Samanthurai yesterday.

Police said the deceased children were 13 years old and residents of Naikadu.

Investigations have revealed that the accident had taken place when the two boys had gone to chop wood and had got caught in an unauthorized power line in a nearby coconut grove.

The police arrested three persons aged between 30 and 72 for laying the unauthorized power line.
