Travel ban imposed on Johnston

Colombo, October 10 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court issued an order preventing former Parliamentarian Johnston Fernando from leaving the country in connection with an incident in which he allegedly used an unregistered luxury vehicle.

The CID, which is conducting investigations into the matter, informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate that the former Parliamentarian had used an imported vehicle with fake number plates for a period of two years. The CID also stated that Johnston Fernando had failed to appear before the CID despite being requested to do so for the purpose of recording a statement regarding the incident.
