Tilvin seeks furthering of ties with Communist Party of China

Colombo, June 18 (Daily Mirror) - JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva who is now in China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met with the Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, Liu Jianchao and other officials.

A statement from the JVP said Liu vowed not to allow anyone to spoil the party-to-party ties between the CPC and the JVP no matter what.  

According to the JVP, the Chinese officials have pledged every possible assistance for Sri Lanka’s development.

Silva said the party-to-party ties have increased further with the visit of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to Beijing, early this year.
