Colombo, June 19 (Daily Mirror) - Three outlets of a leading supermarket chain have been fined Rs. 200,000 each for displaying expired goods for sale, the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) said.
The CAA said it recently conducted raids on these outlets and subsequently filed legal action against the management at the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court.
The Authority reiterated that strict action will continue against retailers violating consumer protection regulations.
