Students sitting for O/L can obtain NICs tomorrow

The Department of Registration of Persons will open tomorrow for the students who did not obtain their National Identity Cards (NICs), Commissioner General Vianni Gunatilaka said.

He said the main office in Battaramulla including the branch offices in Galle, Kurunegala, Vavunia and Batticoloa districts will be open tomorrow from 8.30 am to 1.00 pm.

He noted that this special service will be provided only for the students who sit for the O/L exam this year.

The Commissioner requested the candidates to submit their duly completed applications, get them approved by the respective School Principal or Grama Niladari. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
