State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura tests Covid-19 positive

State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura tested positive to Covid- 19 becoming the eighth member of Parliament to be tested Covid-19 positive within this month.  

The other MPs who tested positive within this month was Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Dilip Wedaarachchi, Janaka Tissakuttiarachi,Rohana Dissanayke, Tilak Rajapaksa, Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam and Prasanna Ranaweera. 

More than 20 MPs have been tested positive since the pandemic hit Sri Lanka in 2020.(Yohan Perera)
