Sri Lankans in Israel asked to be vigilant after US attacks on Iran

Colombo, June 23 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lankan Ambassador in Israel Nimal Bandara has requested the Sri Lankan expatriates to be vigilant and follow safety instructions issued by the Israeli government following missile attacks by Iran in the Northen and Central parts of Israel last morning.

Bandara said more attacks were expected from Iran following the involvement of US forces with the Israel forces.

However no Sri Lankan have received any injuries due to fresh attacks, Bandara said in his facebook post.

Meanwhile four Sri Lankans who fled Israel to Egypt were held by Egyptian forces but had been later released following the intervention of the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Cairo Sisira Seneviratne. The four Sri Lankans have safely reached Cairo Airport according to Bandara.
