Colombo, June 7 (Daily Mirror) - The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has launched a public consultation process to gather views and recommendations for the formulation of Sri Lanka’s proposed National Higher Education Policy Framework.
The initiative is being carried out under the guidance of Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, Harini Amarasuriya, with the support of an expert committee appointed to draft the policy framework.
The Ministry said several rounds of discussions have already been held with stakeholders representing the education and higher education sectors to obtain their suggestions and opinions. As part of the consultation process, it was also decided to conduct a public opinion survey to ensure broader participation in shaping the policy.
Accordingly, an online questionnaire has been made available on the website of the Higher Education Division.
The Ministry encouraged all interested parties to participate in the survey and contribute to the development of a comprehensive national policy framework for higher education.
