Sri Lanka thanks India for timely assistance to evacuate Sri Lankans from Iran

Colombo, June 22 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka has extended its sincere gratitude to the Government of India for the timely assistance to evacuate Sri Lankan nationals from Iran alongside Indian citizens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said this act of solidarity exemplifies the strong and enduring partnership between Sri Lanka and India and is deeply appreciated by the people of Sri Lanka. 

The Embassy of India in Tehran yesterday announced that it will provide evacuation support to Sri Lankan and Nepalese nationals as well.
