Sri Lanka seeks ASEAN sectoral partnership, not membership: Minister

Colombo, March 15 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka has only sought ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partnership and not ASEAN membership, Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Hearth said.

"We have not sought membership of ASEAN. 

We are seeking an ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partnership. We have applied for the same in 2019 and will be submitting a new work plan shortly for the same. 

"It was my mistake," the Minister told the Daily Mirror.
