Soldier commits suicide by shooting himself

A 22-year-old soldier attached to the Polhengoda Army Camp in Narahenpita was found dead after he shot himself with his official firearm last night, the Army said.

They suspect that the soldier, who was a resident of Horowpathana, had allegedly committed suicide due to a personal reason.
