Showers exceeding 100 mm expected today

Colombo, October 7 (Daily Mirror) - Heavy showers exceeding 100 mm are expected in several parts of the country today, as the Intertropical Convergence Zone is influencing the weather, the forecasting division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

They said showers or thundershowers would occur at most places in the island during the afternoon or night.

Thundershowers would occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western Provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Mannar and Mullaitivu districts during the morning.
