Badulla, June 27 (Daily Mirror) - At least 40 passengers sustained injuries when a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus veered off the road and plunged into a 20-foot precipice near the Diyatalawa railway station. The bus was en route from Colombo to Badulla when the accident occurred.
Following the incident, local authorities and residents rushed to the scene to rescue the trapped passengers. According to the police, all the injured individuals were immediately evacuated and admitted to the Diyatalawa Base Hospital for urgent medical care.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
