Sex trading of 15-year-old girl: Four websites terminated

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has terminated four websites which published malicious advertisements to market the 15-year-old girl from Mount Lavinia for sex trade, police said.

Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said more than 40 suspects were arrested in connection with this crime.

It was revealed that numerous advertisements published on four websites luring people to exploit the girl for their sexual needs.

Accordingly, the Children and Women Bureau has requested the court to terminate the operation of four websites, www.landa-ads.com, www.nastylanka.com, www.redroselanka.com and www.massegerepublic.com.

The Colombo Magistrate ordered the Director General of TRC to suspend the operations of those websites.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
