Schoolgirl kidnapped in Daulagala

Authorities have launched an investigation into the abduction of a schoolgirl in the Daulagala Police Division, an incident that has gained significant attention on social media.

The kidnapping occurred on the morning of January 11, 2025, as the victim, a Muslim girl from Handessa, was on her way to school with a friend. 

According to preliminary police investigations, a group of individuals in a van carried out the abduction.

Initial findings suggest that the incident stemmed from a personal dispute. The police are continuing their inquiries to apprehend those involved and ensure the girl’s safe return.
