School second-term commences tomorrow

The second term of all Government schools will commence from tomorrow (April 19) in accordance with the circulars issued by the Ministry of Education in compliance with the instructions given by the Health authorities, the Education Ministry said.

Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Prof. Kapila Perera said that schools would be operated under the instructions implemented during the last school term until the Director-General of Health submits new recommendations regarding bringing the students to schools.

Accordingly, if the number of students in a class is less than 15, all students can be called to school every day.
If the students in class 16 to 30, they could be called to the school in two groups and if the students exceed 30 in a class, they could be called into three groups.(DSB)
