The ministerial committee appointed by President Maihripala Sirisena to inquire into the Central Bank bond scam will hand over its report, which includes six recommendations to the President tomorrow, State Minister of Finance, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardana said today.
He told a journalist that the committee had not come across any information to suggest that Prime Minister Ranil Wickrmesinghe was in any way involved in the bond scam.
The state minister of finance told a media briefing that the nine-member ministerial committee had come across instances of financial mishandling, the leaking of information, miscalculation, conflict of interest and mismanagement. He said the committee had recommended remedial measures and the next course of action.(Sandun A Jayasekera)
