SB removed, Alagiyawanna appointed

The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP ) today decided to remove its party treasurer S.B Dissanayake as he did not participate in the Committee meeting during the previous gatherings.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, former SLFP General Secretary Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa said after removing S.B. Dissanayake, the committee had decided to appoint MP Lasantha Alagiyawanna as the new treasurer.

He also said the committee had decided to appoint UPFA MP Weerakumara Dissanayake as the SLFP media spokesman replacing Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
